Principal

“Human by Design is an inclusive process that involves a diversity of voices, experience and ideas converging towards a site specific invention. Our most innovative work, I believe, is borne out of people sharing ideas, challenging expectations and norms, and working together towards creative solutions that put the human experience at the forefront of the process.”

From an early age, Ron had a strong affinity for art, design, and the creative act of making. Growing up close to New York City, he was taken by the soaring architecture, grand spaces, and the play of light and shadows when he visited with his family. These trips laid the foundation for his decision to become an architect, inspiring him to create places that stir emotions. With decades of design and management experience spanning a variety of architectural projects, Ron brings unique insights and leadership to our Shanghai studio as Managing Principal. His award-winning designs include projects for clients throughout the United States, Asia and the Middle East. A long-time expert in International School planning, Ron is committed to supporting international education through design. Showcasing his knowledge and dedication to the profession of architecture, he participates in speaking engagements with a number of industry organizations and is a founding board member of AIA Shanghai.
