Kerrie Frymire

Associate Principal

“We’re not just building a school and then we’re done. It goes beyond the building itself. There’s a real passion for the kids, for the pedagogy, for the community, and for the research into how these environments impact and foster learning. It’s about how people respond to the building and how they grow and thrive within it and because of it. That’s the larger mission.”

Kerrie is Perkins Eastman’s firmwide manager of K-12 business development and marketing. Her interest in this discipline began with her master’s degrees in education and human relations, and continued in her early career as an administrator in higher-ed and early-childhood education. She came to Perkins Eastman’s Washington, DC, studio in 2012, where she soon took over marketing for the firm’s Primary & Secondary Education practice. In her present role, Kerrie draws upon her industry experience to develop relationships with current and prospective clients while working with her team to build strategies for creating new opportunities and acquiring more work. She has expanded the K-12 practice’s reach and influence by strengthening relationships with school-district leaders and growing the firm’s network through her leadership in relevant associations.

Our Perkins Eastman

Kerrie represents Perkins Eastman as an active member of the Association for Learning Environments (A4LE), one of the nation’s largest organizations for school-district leaders and designers, where she serves on its Northeast Region board as the Justice, Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion (JEDI) representative. She also participates in Perkins Eastman’s mentorship program, where she has helped both architects and marketing professionals grow in their careers.
