Having majored in biological anthropology as an undergraduate, Jordana views human beings, first and foremost, as animals. That perspective drew her to seek ways to mitigate the damage we as humans inflict on every other life form on our planet. Reducing greenhouse gas emissions is the most critical step forward. Since the buildings and construction sector is one of the largest emitters of greenhouse gases, one major way to work toward this goal is intervening during the design and construction of large buildings.
Since 2007, Jordana has worked in various roles within the energy consulting industry. Her experience includes solar photovoltaic design and training as well as energy-efficiency incentive program design, implementation, evaluation, and measurement. Since 2012, she’s served as a sustainability consultant for more than one hundred new construction and major renovation projects that achieved green-building labels via third-party certification systems such as LEED and PHIUS.
Our Perkins Eastman
Jordana’s work at Perkins Eastman focuses on implementing industry best practices for sustainability. Her role includes helping project stakeholders understand how even small changes can impact a building’s lifetime carbon emissions.
