This project consists of two thirty-eight-story office towers and one condominium with low-rise retail space. It is the largest IT complex in South Korea since this type of development has been introduced. “Design motive from local cultural assets” and “dynamism” are the key concepts the client prioritized. The massing of the towers with its curved corners was inspired from the curvilinear geometry commonly found in local architecture and artifacts. Dynamism is embodied through the robust diagonal lines represented in the building’s form and façade. These two main design elements create not only a dynamic tension between the three towers but also gives the buildings an iconic presence amongst their monolithic surroundings. Sophisticated application of different glass types and other exterior material choices maximize the design’s effect, while the interiors establish a balance between available open space for circulation and a variety of potential resting, dining, and lounge spaces.
