“I told you so.” That’s the frequent refrain Jennifer hears from her mother, who could see early on that she’d pursue a design career because she spent so much of her childhood building houses for her toy horses and Barbie dolls using twigs, leaves, rocks, cups – anything she could find that could realize her vision. To this day, she says, “I drive people crazy whenever I’m out,” wanting to peek into buildings, pausing to take pictures of moldings and trim details, and ducking into second-hand shops. Now, with over fifteen years of experience working in every region in the United States, she continues to search far and wide for inspiration as she leads multiple teams through each project’s concept, design and construction. While Multi-Residential has become her primary focus, she’s also delivered national and international luxury hotels, exclusive private residences, senior living properties and upscale student housing. Whether working on a new build or renovation, she’s passionate about capturing the synergy between interior design, architecture, and place.
Our Perkins Eastman
As a practice leader in ForrestPerkin’s DC studio, Jennifer is always focused on making sure everyone’s voice is heard as each project progresses – the key, she says, to its successful completion. She consistently looks for opportunities for her team to collaborate with Perkins Eastman on interior design for the firm’s Senior Living, Hospitality and International practice areas.
