Work from Anywhere?

Part I of a series in Perkins Eastman's exploration of the future of work.

This first paper of a multi-part series explores the ability to work from anywhere in the face of many changes: Its origins, pitfalls, and exciting potentials. The authors point to the importance of remote work for company resiliency and agility, while also considering the complex impact this work style can have on the natural environment and people’s wellbeing. The paper posits that where and when people work should be tailored by each company to support its own unique situation with regard to employees, environment, and business. Company leaders should consider providing future work environments that are not limited to a singular workspace but open to a selection of spaces that make up their firm’s own workplace landscape.
