Yorktown High School

Yorktown High School

Arlington, VA

A sustainable secondary school where 1600 students excel academically and personally.

Committed equally to academic excellence and social and emotional development, Yorktown High School students and teachers needed a 21st century campus where they could thrive. To serve them better, Perkins Eastman designed a school organized around a central courtyard that creates a heart for the school and ensures natural light and views throughout the building. A high-performance facility, the school exemplifies sustainable design principles at work while fostering interactions in a comfortable setting.
