In 2018, MEIS was asked by Live Nation to develop facilities master plans for forty amphitheaters across the United States. The work identified the existing conditions of each venue and studied potential improvements to enhance operations, revenues, and fan experience. The studies focused on improving site circulation, “gateways,” wayfinding, adjacencies and specific improvements to seating options, VIP amenities, food and beverage, retail, even typically overlooked elements like toilets.
These master plans have allowed Live Nation to develop a consistent, brand forward approach across venues, and implement improvements in several phases over the next few seasons.
MEIS is working with Live Nation to develop the design scope of venue upgrades across a portfolio of outdoor amphitheaters, including coordination of cost estimation for capital expenditure planning. From master planning to individual lounge spaces, MEIS has established a unique vision for each venue to connect fans to the event and drive increased revenue. Research of each venue is mined to create an elevated music experience that establishes the Live Nation brand as the future of entertainment.
This project was conceived by MEIS prior to becoming a Perkins Eastman Studio.
