As a gift to their school, a graduating class of Langley High School sought to create a mural that would express their school pride and what it means to be a Saxon—being equal, creative, and empowered. After collaborating with the students, Frank Design created a vibrant, two-story graphic that fills the previously empty wall in a gathering space designed during a renovation and expansion by Perkins Eastman. Printed on 3M vinyl and thermally applied so it appears painted on, the final design, overlaid on a backdrop of qualities and values, tells the Saxon story through a transition of profiles representing Langley’s diversity, with each profile becoming more unified with the next as they grow into their beloved mascot, the Saxon.
