Heritage Community of Kalamazoo’s new four-story, 60-unit residential living building is designed to appeal to today’s residents. The building’s U-shaped footprint responds to the natural environment and views of the 20-acre site. The apartments feature open floor plans that include flexible den/studies, primary suites with ample natural light, generous storage, and large balconies. Hospitality-inspired amenities consist of a new dining venue, classroom, wellness and fitness space, and an outdoor terrace.

The interior design pays homage to Kalamazoo’s industrial history through metal and warm woods that are reminiscent of the old factories around the city. Neutral tones of gray, black, and brown are complemented by pops of color in the artwork and furniture. The large windows throughout the space provide natural light and views to the landscape beyond.
