“As much as technology and automation enhanced the world we live in today, a standardized approach to design has hindered our ability to form a sense of identity and character. When we place human comfort and well-being at the core of our designs, we aim to celebrate our differences and individuality rather than conform to an indistinguishable society.”

Early in life, Tarek was intrigued by spatial organization and questioned why some places are pleasant and inviting while others are not. Fascinated by the context of historic buildings and user habits, he visited Karnak Temple in Luxor, Egypt and discovered the importance of design and the way it continuously shapes how we live. Today, with over 38 years of experience in project development and coordination, Tarek leads our Dubai studio as Managing Principal. Tarek oversees development of the firm’s architecture and interiors projects throughout the Middle East and North Africa. His project experience comprises commercial and institutional work including hotel, office, mixed-use, and higher education design and planning. Tarek brings dedicated real estate, management expertise, and design innovation to all his clients and projects.
