Richard Rosen

AIA, LEED AP

Principal

“I believe that a truly effective senior community allows each person to be the best version of him or herself for as long as possible."

Throughout his forty-year career as an architect, Rich’s love of residential architecture, as well his experience with a broad range of building types has been foundational to his ability to provide thoughtful aging-in-place environments that integrate sensitively with their sites. Prior to Perkins Eastman, Rich’s experience working at Marriott Senior Living allowed him to see beyond the limits of the architect’s design contribution and understand the full planning and operational needs of project sponsors and developers. This perspective allows him to create designs that respond to all stakeholders of a project: residents, owners, staff, and the larger community, creating communities that are vibrant with opportunities for wellness and fitness, culinary variety, social and cultural venues, and sustainable and nurturing on multiple levels.

Our Perkins Eastman

The entry of the Baby Boom generation into the senior living market is placing new demands for connections to cities, cultural institutions, health services, and expanded life style options. Rich brings unique insight through his work designing high rise urban senior living communities on the East Coast, invaluable expertise that helps Perkins Eastman stay at the leading edge of senior living design.
