As a psychology and marketing major, Mia has always been interested in human behavior and how that drives people, particularly when it comes to business and consumer habits and patterns. Since joining Perkins Eastman in 2013 as the Stamford studio’s marketing manager, she’s led project pursuits across several practice areas, with a recent focus on the sphere of K-12 Education. She’s personally interested in this practice, in part, because she worked with young children in the Bristol Warren, RI, school district’s before- and after-school programs as part of a college internship—and also now because she’s a mom. “I have an interest in the K-12 world from that perspective. Those buildings, what they need to be, that makes sense to me,” she says. “It’s rewarding to see our school projects come together for the kids, because they’re our future.” Mia oversees procurement for the studio, identifying leads, crafting proposals, and preparing teams for project interviews.
