Karen’s love of art and design began early as she was growing up in Detroit. She remembers taking trips to the Detroit Institute of the Arts and being mesmerized by the colors and textures of the Van Goghs—the small details in the artwork making the whole of the piece shine. Practicing since 2004, she applies this attention to detail and her love of color to the projects she works on. Karen leads the Interior Design practice in the Philadelphia office, focusing on a range of projects from Residential and Hospitality to College + University and Workplace. She loves knowing that the spaces she creates leave an impression on the people who experience them in the places they live, visit, and work.

Karen enjoys mentoring young designers as they grow in the field and work towards their professional accreditation. She looks to build their confidence in design because she believes project teams are strongest when everyone contributes to the vision.
