Francisco Tsai

NCIDQ, LEED Green Associate

Associate Principal

"By properly addressing both form and function, occupied spaces are more productive, more effective, and more comfortable."

Francisco  began his career designing spaces for film, television, and radio, where he developed a passion for both architecture, technology, and how the two interact. Honed by media and entertainment, his design sensibility has given him an edge with his Workplace clients at Perkins Eastman, where he’s been an associate principal since 2020. Francisco believes that workplace productivity is indelibly aligned with the human experience in that space, which is why it’s so important to apply technologies ranging from seamless user interface (system integration) to passive design (acoustic integration). He has become a go-to specialist in designing and implementing highly technical facilities such as recording studios and critical-listening environments, television and radio-broadcast studios, theaters and performance venues, and financial trading floors. He’s particularly adept at coordinating with specialized consultants on each project and integrating design with high-tech systems and content services for projects both domestically and abroad.

Our Perkins Eastman

Francisco is an active participant in Perkins Eastman’s PEople Mentoring Program, providing mentorship to younger architects and designers on project management and integrated design. He is also a firmwide technical resource, assisting other studios as a liaison to bridge the knowledge gap with specialty consultants and high-tech projects.
