Dan has blazed new pathways in Senior Living design and planning throughout his decades of practice. Along the way, he’s created new tools for scenario planning, branding, research, product development, and master planning throughout the senior living sector. As the former managing principal of Perkins Eastman’s DC and the Chicago offices, Dan continues to share his future-planning guidance with staff, board workshops and bespoke engagements. In his current position as a planning advisor with expertise in framework visioning, Dan relies on the strong partnerships he built over time from alliances with over 300 senior living organizations, developers, and consultants.
“I love telling the stories to the next generation of senior living architects about what preceded the design-solution outcomes of today. We pushed the envelope to make meaningful changes for so many elders by shifting the very idea of what senior environments could be and by empowering them with a new set of lenses to view their potential. It’s been so gratifying to see their eyes awaken at the possibilities.”
