Daena Tamborini Padilla

AIA, WELL AP

Principal

“I love impacting the built environment. It shapes a person’s attitude and perspective about anything and everything they encounter. The right space can change someone’s world view.”

Daena’s fascination with architecture goes back to high school, when she started her first summer internship with a local architecture firm where she grew up in New Jersey. Since earning her degree, most of her career has been at Perkins Eastman, where for more than fifteen years she’s worked closely with client organizations both big and small to realize their long-term visions with vibrant senior living communities. Her experience ranges from renovation to new construction, with projects ranging in size and scope and spanning a broad range of practice areas. With a primary focus on senior living and additional experience in healthcare, schools, and commercial developments, Daena actively seeks opportunities for convergence. Whether she’s working on a campus reinvention for a life plan community, a new neighborhood of Small Houses, a Center for Healthy Living, or an innovative plan to support residents with Alzheimer’s disease, Daena prides herself in knowing that she’s giving back to the individuals living in the places she designs.

Our Perkins Eastman

Daena currently serves as co-chair of the firmwide project management committee, which seeks to create a strong culture of good management that enhances both the design and financial performance of Perkins Eastman’s projects. She is also one of four associate practice-area leaders in senior living, whose goal is to support the group’s leadership and direction.
