A trusted leader with more than two decades of higher education design expertise, Carisima Koenig is a dynamic architect who designs and plans inclusive learning environments that look to the future. A champion for innovation and firm believer in the importance of educational accessibility, Carisima has worked across all education typologies and designs with both today’s students as well as future generations in mind. With an open and collaborative mindset, she strategizes with campus leadership to tackle the unique challenges of each institution and ensure a solution which enhances growth and opportunity for all. Outside of work, Carisima acts as a visiting assistant professor, teaching architecture and urban design to graduate students at Pratt Institute, and serves as both co-chair of the AIANY Professional Practice Committee and advisory board member for Madame Architect.
