Senior Associate

“We are in a climate emergency, as designers and architects we have the ability to design projects with transformative concepts that could change and impact the lives of building occupants and communities preparing them for the future, helping reduce their footprint in the planet and improving their health and wellness.”

Ana has been an impassioned and dedicated sustainability professional since 2012. She believes that education around sustainability is at the base of creating awareness and making a positive impact in a challenging region such as Latin America. Ana’s career has been motivated by promoting responsible design at every stage of the process and prioritizing design decisions by leveraging the interconnections between sustainability and wellness.

In her role of Regional Sustainability Specialist for the Latin American region, Ana collaborates across multiple disciplines and scales, leading sustainability efforts to promote resiliency, wellness, material health and inclusion. She manages third-party market standards application, education outreach, corporate sustainability strategies, partnership and networking, and she also supports firmwide initiatives.

Our Perkins Eastman

Ana is a core member of Perkins Eastman’s operations and communications committees. She has a strong willingness to confront challenge, and she believes that to begin making sustainable choices, it requires a shift in mindset and breaking social and cultural barriers. That’s why Ana has started implementing sustainability into the Guayaquil studio’s operations, while she mentors younger professionals both within Perkins Eastman and beyond it.
