Matching a curriculum based on high academic standards, self-directed learning, collaboration, and global citizenship, Perkins Eastman’s design for Avenues: The World School’s inaugural NYC location draws on the city surrounding it. A thoughtfully integrated collection of multi-lingual wayfinding signs allow students, staff, and visitors to easily self-navigate the school. Wayfinding is supported by a series of playful experiential graphics, which activate key spaces and provide additional layers of wayfinding through placemaking.
