Principal

"The premise that form complements function is foundational to how I approach my work. Function is informed by nature and human experience – we are both inherently part of and responsible for the health of our planet. Form exists at the intersection in space: memory – shared history; and imagination – shared possibility."

Diana Sung has more than 40 years of experience as project director, designer, and lead architect for a variety of building types, and has overseen the all phases of many complex multi-phase projects for the firm. Her projects span practice areas and have included those for gerontology and special care, health care, courthouses, mixed-use development, family housing, hotels, commercial interiors, cultural, and educational spaces.

With a background in industrial design, Diana brings a unique perspective to her work, consistently raising the standards of innovative and effective design. Her work has received numerous awards and has helped Perkins Eastman develop its reputation for design excellence with recognitions in The New York Times and Architectural Record, among others. Diana’s academic involvement is illustrated by her frequent participation at industry domestic and international conferences.
