While Laurie’s wide variety of design experience ranges from higher education to commercial interiors, it wasn’t until she applied her skills to senior living that she found her true calling. It was all about the people. In her more than 20 years specializing in senior living, Laurie has developed many lasting relationships with staff and residents – a natural outgrowth of the engagement she brings to her work. Laurie cares deeply about resident health, wellness, and dignity as well as sustainable and biophilic design. She designs for a variety of senior living communities, including CCRCs, independent and assisted living, active adult communities, long-term care, memory support and assisted living memory support, and short-term rehabilitation and ambulatory care. Laurie’s work ranges from new construction to renovation and repositioning existing senior living communities.
Our Perkins Eastman:
Laurie is deeply engaged in mentoring younger staff, and her nurturing and direct nature inspires many to seek her out for advice and guidance. Perkins Eastman’s supportive company culture, both within the senior living practice area, and among the firm at large, is a credit, in part, to Laurie’s collaborative approach.
