Located on one of many prominent hills in Istanbul, the Kartal Towers development was designed to provide excellent access to transportation and stunning views of the Sea of Marmara. The Perkins Eastman team conducted a detailed climate analysis and designed five towers shaped and oriented to prevailing winds and sensitive to the significant solar heat gain Turkey often experiences. Blending indoor amenities with outdoor escapes, the design is meant to enhance comfort and productivity. Sustainable features include landscape design with light paving and storm water collection strategies, planted roofs, and alternative energy systems.
