Berkley Riverfront Breaks Ground in Kansas City

Perkins Eastman Principal and Executive Director Hilary Bertsch represented the firm at the March 26 groundbreaking to begin the next phase of the Berkley Riverfront development, a transformative project designed to reconnect the fabric of downtown Kansas City, MO, to its waterfront. This vibrant mixed-use district will deliver hundreds of multifamily residential units, local eats, retail, and a bustling new promenade linking it to the Missouri River, Berkley Riverfront Park, and the CPKC soccer stadium—the first in the world to be purpose-built for a women’s professional athletic team. Even better, the riverfront district is scheduled to open in time for the 2026 World Cup. Learn more about the project in our Insights post, and read more about the groundbreaking in the Kansas City Business Journal and The Construction Broadsheet. Kudos to the team!
