San Francisco, CA – The new Stanford Hospital redefines the model of a healing environment within a flexible framework that will adapt to health care practice for the next 100 years. Designed through a collaboration of Rafael Viñoly Architects and Perkins Eastman Architects, the 824,000 SF building utilizes a universal 120’x120’ module able to accommodate future interdisciplinary innovations in clinical health care, education, and research. The design embraces the campus tradition of integrating landscape with a modern approach to courtyards and arcades and a mid-level public roof garden equally therapeutic for patients, practitioners, and staff.
