Throughout his career, Robert has looked at the world through the lens of how best to enclose the human form, protect it, and allow it to move through space most efficiently and comfortably. Tight building envelopes and accessible stairs are not the only factors in good design, though. He strives to incorporate human-scale interventions in overall design that ennoble our experience of the world around us. From award-winning work in historic brownstone buildings on New York’s Upper West Side to curved, curtainwall-clad mixed-use high-rise towers in the Financial District, Robert has applied his technical, people-focused expertise to multiple educational, residential, higher-ed and mixed-use projects since he started his architectural career in 2004.
