Maureen believes that the best healthcare design starts with clinicians and patients. As Healthcare Interiors Leader at Perkins Eastman with over twenty-five years of experience, she begins each project with detailed interactions among the stakeholders, followed by workshops, planning, and visioning meetings to distill their views into design solutions that support innovations in patient-care delivery.
As an award-winning designer, Maureen’s approach focuses on human-centered design, sensitivity to details, and consideration of how each interior environment affects the people who use the space.
She designs spaces that blend state-of-the-art principles within a welcoming, comforting environment. As a result, her interiors have transformed how healthcare facilities look, feel, and operate—going beyond architecture to produce places of dignity and compassion.
Maureen’s work has been featured in a number of books, magazines and publications. She has been recognized for her outstanding work and contributions in the healthcare sector, and was named Interior Designer of the Year by Healthcare Design in 2016. Most recently, she was profiled in the New York School of Interior Design’s alumni magazine: “Designing for Healthy Outcomes: An Innovator’s Insights into Healthcare Design.”
