Carlos N. Moreno

AIA, NCARB

Associate Principal

"I enjoy working with people, getting to know them, and having an impact, large or small. If on any level I can play a positive part in forming and setting a course for a person, team or organization, that’s where I find the most fulfillment. In architecture, these types of engagements are critical for the success of the project, our client and our firm. Working with my colleagues, however, is where I see the greatest opportunities for building deep relationships where great work is simply the byproduct."

Carlos is a passionate translator of healthcare research, programming, planning, and design to advance the practice of medicine, both for public health and R&D.

Carlos enjoys the collaborative nature of practice as well as the inquisitive process of design. An avid researcher, he continually explores trends and services in the industry to bring the most benefit to patients, practitioners, and caregivers. As such, he recognizes that the delivery of healthcare is not a linear process; the planning and design of healthcare environments must allow for simple and efficient adjustments to meet unexpected needs. With over thirty years of experience, Carlos’s attention to technical issues and knowledge of regulations in acute-care offers clients a high level of expertise and adds value to the delivery of services.

Our Perkins Eastman

In his work to grow Perkins Eastman’s new Austin studio, Carlos is helping to foster an environment that enables ongoing personal and professional growth. He believes everyone possesses the innate ability to “influence,” regardless of status, position, or title, and is committed to championing this ethos within the firm.
