Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort

Setting sights on achieving a model for superior accommodations with minimal impact on the environment, Perkins Eastman led the design of an eco-resort in the United Arab Emirates. Seamlessly blending the surrounding natural preserve and high-end amenities together, the design demonstrates how luxury and sustainability can coexist.

Situated within the eco-friendly planned community of Mina al Arab, the Antantara Eco Resort & Spa offers a guest experience distinct to the Arabian Gulf’s geography and ecology. The Maldivian-inspired resort includes 174 private rooms, peninsula villas, and overwater villas and is surrounded by a lagoon and eco-reserve lush with mangroves and other diverse plant life. Sustainability is at the forefront of the plan, which addresses local climate and energy consumption.

Bridging nature with high-end design, the resort is a sanctuary for visitors from crowded cities throughout the Middle East. Accommodations extend into the lagoon and courtyards, offering impressive views in a deeply relaxing setting. Guests encounter nature and modern comforts in equal measure at the beach and outdoor swimming pools, while shared pavilions for gathering, dining, and wellness activities invite water and plant life inside. A nature discovery center provides visitors opportunities to stargaze and learn about flora and fauna native to the gulf region and makes the resort a destination unto itself.
