Perkins Eastman designed a four phase office incubator master plan development on an 80 acre site. Phase one is arranged around three courtyards linked to the other three phases by a large central park. The project is a 17M sf mixed-use technology center and incubator office park that includes a hotel, residences, conference center, and a 50–story, 1M sf headquarters tower.

Our goal was to create and develop a clear consistent grammar for the façades that responds to orientation, location, hierarchy and scale that creates presence and unity without being monotonous. With over 30 buildings in the first two phases, the solution was to develop a basic “DNA“ for the design and develop variants to the original to create a family of interrelated buildings creating a community – a pedestrian friendly campus.

The Changping Business Park combines the very best of green design with the program requirements of a comprehensive live/work business complex. Situated at a Beijing suburb, Changping District, the project contains a mixed program of amenities such as retail, restaurants, cafes and dormitories to accommodate businesses, workers, and residents alike. The landscape and open space program includes – the Linear Park – which smoothly conveys pedestrians throughout. The Linear Park seamlessly meshes with the outlying green buffer and by extension link to the main ceremonial drive, thereby, insuring a visual and physical connection between the campus and the overall development.
