East End Cooperative Ministry

Background
East End Cooperative Ministry (EECM) is an interfaith non-profit organization that serves vulnerable adults and youth throughout Pittsburgh’s East End neighborhoods. Community House offers a shelter for homeless men and women, a neighborhood café, kitchen and food pantry, chapel, classrooms, multi-purpose community event space, and administrative offices. The project, designed to achieve LEED Platinum certification, “builds a community of opportunity” and expresses EECM’s values of personal, organizational, and environmental sustainability.
